Events

  • As the Associate Dean, I have supported the development of co-curricular events designed to enhance the mission and vision of CAM, and developed strategic plans, organizational structures and workflow mapping for event planning and execution. Creating events that combined performances and exhibitions with discussions, master classes, and workshops, became our approach to engaging students and the community into meaningful dialogue designed to expand a deeper understanding of the arts and the creative process. Through creating events and collaborating with faculty, staff and leadership on co-curricular event development I came to understand how powerful event programming is as a vehicle for teaching and learning, marketing and branding, and fundraising. For many years, I was the chair of CU Denver Live!, which developed arts programming for the entire CU Denver campus. I supported the development of strategic college partners by leading the creation and execution of events in partnership with creative industry organizations and cultural groups.
