Summary of Credentials and Leadership Experience
I am currently an Interim Co-Dean and Professor of Photography in the College of Arts & Media (CAM) at the University of Colorado Denver. I have been a member of the CU Denver community for twenty-five years and have worked in higher education for thirty-five years.
Prior to arriving at CU Denver, I experienced a variety of higher education environments and served as a lecturer at Princeton University, a tenure-track faculty member at the State University of New York’s College of Art & Design, and instructor at the University of Rhode Island. I have served students in progressive faculty roles, advancing from instructional faculty roles into a tenure-track position in which I earned the rank of full professor.
As I welcome challenges and the opportunity to support the success of others, I was called upon to assume leadership roles at the college-level, advancing from a Discipline Director and Department Chair to Associate Dean.
As I grew in my abilities to lead operational and strategic initiatives, collaborate across a wide range of stakeholders to achieve results, and advance diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, I was asked to lead in system and campus-level roles, serving as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Interim Vice Chancellor for Faculty Affairs.
