Smithsonian Fellow

In 2010 I was selected to receive a Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship award from the Smithsonian American Art Museum. “The Smithsonian’s Artist Research Fellowship Program was launched in 2007 to award research fellowships to accomplished artists in the United States and abroad.” I was nominated for this opportunity by, Toby Jurovicz, who was the Curator of Photography at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The selection process included a panel of art curators and scholars from throughout the Smithsonian. The fellowship was a financial award that supported a two-month residency.
